It gave us nothing but complexity, grief and misery for the 6 months we tried to use it. Anything complex required an embedded Ant script anyway, but with painful limitations. Junking Maven and going back to Ant was the best thing we ever did! Perhaps you could write a follow-up article on the benefits it's given you? Switch to Maven – why?
